The NUTS & BREW Story 

Offering wine tastings, beer tastings, and in-store wine classes every week; we strive to help empower our customers.  We are not here to sell you a beer or wine, we are here to assist you in making your own decisions.  We have never forgotten our roots as a small, family-run shop and know that we are just like you:  beer and wine enthusiasts.  Please feel free to call or email and ask for any one of us.  The shop is not huge, but our idea is grandiose and our muscle works for you.

Nuts & Brew first began as a thought by Jeff Fredrickson.  For years, Jeff wanted to open a beer and wine store to express his passion (one shared by many…) Jeff is fond of saying that he has "an idea and some muscle.”  Never has this been more critical than in the growth of Nuts & Brew.  Jeff presented the idea to his daughter, Jaclyn, and her boyfriend at the time, Morey Aldrup.  Jaclyn quit her job the next day in February of 2005.  Morey had just finished his degree in Business Management and together they began down the road to open the doors of Nuts & Brew in October of 2005.  Through much research (and a lot of that muscle) the decision was made to open in Laguna Hills.  Initially, Morey and Jaclyn were at the shop all day every day.  Only rarely, taking the opportunity to let a family member help and take a day off.  But hey, if you have to go to work every day; working for yourself at beer and wine in Laguna Hills is a pretty good option.  In April of 2008 Morey and Jaclyn were married and their daughter Roxanne followed in January of 2009. 

Today, Nuts & Brew is a thriving beer shop and wine store, still in its original location at the corner of Moulton and La Paz in Laguna Hills.  We hand pick every one of our selection of over 500 beers and wines to make sure we have something for every palate and every occasion.  Over the years, Jaclyn has developed a thriving gift basket business focusing on customizable and cost effective packaging for individuals and corporate accounts.
